I was overjoyed when the ladies of the first village, Apuau, were excited about forming a bible study AND they volunteered to teach two of the ladies to read. They seemed to be very close knit just like a ladies group in the states. I fell in love with all the children who were so beautiful and receptive to my "shaking hugs".
My hugging muscles were sore by the time we got back to the states. It was also a great time of bonding with my granddaughter Sarah Bennett who had been very shy prior to our trip. I am still floating and feeding on my spiritual growth and hope the Lord sees fit to allow me to return.
